James A. Waits works for BL Harbert International as Safety Manager for the Logistics and Supply Chain Operations. Over the past several years, he has helped update and maintain BL Harbert's impeccable safety record. After completing the Safety and Health Management Certificate at the OSHA Training Institute at the University of Alabama, he felt the calling to help local businesses with custom safety solutions. Iron South Safety began with a vision to help businesses and local churches have a safety expert they can trust to give them excellent service and a fair price. He strives to deliver on this promise to every customer, every day.

James' wife Kati-Ellen holds a LICSW and is the Supervisor of Child Abuse and Neglect at St. Clair County Department of Human Resources. They have three children: Mckenzie, Jackson, and John-Owen. They live in Springville, Alabama where they both are active members of First Baptist Church of Springville.
